It was about the time when the phrase "South Park Conservatives" was coined.
"I hate Conservatives, but I really hate Liberals." As one of the creators of South Park said.
A new generation was emerging, sick and tired of well meaning liberal Jeff Daniels professors with beard and in corduroy jackets; the slogan of critical and independent thinking was clearly backfiring. Originally intended to make students questioning old stuffy, Conservative dogma, it just rolled on and on, and couldn't be stopped.
It surely backfired. Which the New Conservatives article in ultra hip Vice shows.
